G.L. Young, Sr. Was Born And Raised In San Francisco, Ca. G.L Young Ministries Was Founded 40 Years Ago When He Was Ordained A Minister In The Early 80’S And Received His First Pastoral Appointment From The Late Bishop Clarence Carr To Serve At Knox Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church In Madera, CA. He Currently Serves As Pastor Of Stewart Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church In Redwood City, CA.
A Retired Government Employee, G.L. Young Has Mentored Many At Risk Teenagers And Facilitated Bible Studies For Incarcerated Adults. He Received A Master Of Arts Degree From Sacramento State University While Working As An Intern For The State Of California. He Is A Recipient Of ABC KSBW-8 Jefferson Award For Community Service And 1000 Mothers To Prevent Violence “Pastor Of The Year” Award.
