The world has a sin problem, and no one is immune to it. The Bible tells us that there is a punishment for all who sin, and that is eternal separation from God. However, in the midst of our inability to change this problem, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the solution. It is only through Him, through His great sacrifice, that we are able to have a relationship with God and be saved from our own failures and from the eternity we really deserve. The invitation is to admit one’s sin and inability to do anything about it, to believe in Him and the Gospel story, and to confess Him as Lord of one’s life.

Baby Dedication is a ceremony for Ages 2 & younger where parents make a commitment before God to dedicate a child to God’s will and raise the child according to God’s Word. Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 KJV

Memberships have their benefits, and that’s why officially joining the Z-FAM could be your greatest next step! Joining a church helps change the narrative and feeling of church, taking one from saying and feeling, “SC ZION is the church I attend” to “SC ZION is my church.” It gives one a SENSE OF OWNERSHIP, SENSE OF COMMUNITY, and ENHANCED FEELING OF COMMITTMENT to the church family. It opens up new options for volunteering in some of the exciting ministries around the church. Last, it allows us to really care for you and minister to you as a part of our family.

To join the Z-FAM you can complete the online Membership form to become a MEMBER or an eMEMBER, walk forward during the invitation at the end of the service you attend, join by phone, or you can meet with a pastor during the week.

God created us with a need for community. Therefore, we believe in doing life together in a small group setting. Joining a LifeGroup provides a safe place that brings an intentional sense of community to your everyday life to Grow in Faith, Discover Purpose & Get Connected at SC ZION.
We meet in a variety of locations such as homes, coffee shops, restaurants, events, kids sport/school activities. Some even meet in gyms, exercise classes, get together to walk in the park, biking, or hiking a trail for exercise.
Lifegroup members discuss questions based on the previous Sunday’s message & we do LIFE together! Life Groups are designed with our diverse crowd in mind, and to challenge you every week to grow in your faith. In your Life Group, you will have an opportunity to get involved in small groups, women’s and men’s events, service projects, mission trips, sports leagues, and much more. You will discover that the LifeGroup becomes your Z-FAM as you make wonderful friends and begin “doing life” together. “Let’s Just Do Life Together!”
At SC ZION, we are committed to creating a sense of community. The key to connecting is getting involved in a LifeGroup. The LifeGroups are the heartbeat of the Z-FAM and is what gives our church a friendly and unique feel.
Since LifeGroups are all year round we ask that you commit to Communication and Follow Through. Communicate with your coordinator if you would like to take a break or re-start your LifeGroup again. Follow Through with facilitating your LifeGroup and follow up with those who want to join your LifeGroup.

Some people have a negative view of giving, or tithing, as it’s more commonly referred to in the church world. That is not how God intended it to be at all, though. Giving is done for a number of reasons. We give out of obedience. We give because it’s a great way to honor the Lord for all that He has generously given us. We give because it is an act of worship that shows God who is in control of our lives. We give, because at the end of the day, everything is His to begin with – and we are all just stewards of His resources. Lastly, we give because of the great opportunity. When you give, you open the door to reaching more people through the people, programs and ministries that are committed to seeing Jesus change lives. And if you ask us, that is a cause worth giving to.
GIVE
More than simply one day a week is important to God. Because of his deep affection for you, He desires to have a personal relationship with you.
It’s not necessary to fill your week with church-sponsored activities and events to be diligent about spending time with God, but it is crucial to be part of a sense of community. It implies that work is being done “behind the scenes” that will have a significant influence on your future. It’s a period of peace and calm.
These moments of intentionality allow God to educate and develop you in a way that is unique to you. Having a regular quiet time allows God to speak to you and reveal His plan for your life.
Growing in your faith journey requires this type of one-on-one interaction.
Prayer and Bible reading are the most common methods, although there is no set formula.
