Depending on the nature of their program, group homes may provide particular services to a specific demographic of children or a spectrum of services. Substance abuse, minor-parent (mothers and newborns), baby programs, mental health treatment, vocational training, mental health day treatment, sex offenders, wards alone, emancipation, and reunification are among the services provided. Many organizations offer more than one service and cite reunion of children with their biological families as their major service function. A large majority of them likewise list liberation as their primary function.
